I am leaving for Air Force Basic Training this January. I am well informed on what not to bring to BMT as well as what to bring. What should (and what are they allowed to bring)my parents bring to me after basic (as in when they come to watch the graduation ceremony and visit those last day(s) before I leave for Technical School)? Thanks for any helpful responses!

The barracks at basic until we left my parents did not bring stuff to us for us for us for us to visit me and 2nd cousin came as well.
Yeh, there’s not much they can bring to you that you can have there. Everything you’ll want / need is already provided except civ. clothes and cell phone.. i would wait until your first assignment to get your laptop and all of the others to have in your dorm.

Ask your recruiter this question but if things are still the same, you will not be authorized civilian clothes priviledge until sometime during technical school and you will be going back to your barracks with the rest of your boot camp people the night of graduation so they really cannot give you anything you can do anything with.
For technical school though, if you have some favorite clothes you like, CD’s and a few other things, put them in a box now and they can mail it to you when you get to school. Not a lot though. Do not load up on anything until you get to your first command. Storage is limited and being able to wear civilian clothes in school is still pretty limited. Nothing expensive just in case there is a thief in the bunch also. You will do great and you will be reunited with your personal belongings eventually. Until then appreciate the fact that you can carry all of your belongings on your back. This does not happen too often in an adults life.
