What is the transaction from Air Force basic training to Tech school for reserves?

I am thinking about join the reserves and was just wondering how the transaction from Basic Training to Tech school. Do you get to go home to your family till your opening comes up or do you have to wait it out like active duty does?

    It doesn’t matter whether you are active or reserves, you are all treated the same. If your tech school isn’t slated to start right away, you will be gainfully employed during other types of details until your class starts. One team, one fight!

    The weekend during tech school during the same you can spend time with your family can visit on your time off but other.
    The active duty air guard and reserve are all the day of course no you do not go directly.
