Okay a friend of mine is considering going back to school.
He’s got a 4 year degree but has found there isn’t really any job he can get with his liberal arts degree(they always want you to have 2 years of experience)..
So he’s thinking about going to tech school. You know where you go to school for 6 months or so and they teach you skills you get certified in, I really don’t know how else to explain it….
But MY question is has anyone had a good experience with these Tech Skill Schools??? What kind of skills are the best to specialize in??
Have you made a good living and in what line of work?? Thank you very much for any help.
Oh and if you are comfortable, please explain how much it cost you to finish with a certificate or “degree”, and how long you were in tech school AND how much do you typically make in an average year? Thanks again

I have a family member who is headed for pensacola AFB for air force tech school. what job is he getting into? his tech school is 14 weeks long?

My wife’s tech school will be at Keesler AFB in Biloxi and is 8 months long. I will be able to move there but I want to know if she’s allowed to live with me and sleep at our house every night.
Hey Bailie what do you mean by he needed to keep his dorm room up? You mean the house you guys lived in? Or was he assigned a dorm room for himself as well while he was living with you?

I believe different areas of focus have different lengths for their tech school training following the 8 weeks of basic military training. Any idea how long it is for air transportation?

I want to get braces after I get out of BMT during my 8 month tech school for the USAF. Is this possible, when my take school has me moving to five different tech schools during it’s duration? Are there dentists on base?

My son wants to go to MMI in order to be motorcycle mechanic. But he is getting Voc rehab with our state and they do not want to pay for MMI. They say a local voc tech school that has a diploma in Powersports equipment engine repair will be sufficient. Is this really going to be comparable to what he would get at MMI and will dealers and shops hire him with this training?

In other words….say you have tech school for 8 months. Is that 8 months taken out of the 4 years or does the 4 years start after tech school?
