I’m interested in becoming a radiologic tech. but there are only two accredited schools within any reasonable distance one of which is 40 hours a week of schooling and the other is a tad to far.
The diagnostic imaging field in the Air Force caught my attention and I was wondering if it would be a good way to get into the rad tech career field after I leave the AF. I would only enlist for about 6 years.

I want the info mainly for my own knowledge and use as a dog/cat/bird owner / dog breeder and dog rescuer, not so much as to prepare for a career because I am semi-retired from a business career. Animals are my passion now, and I just want to learn as much as I can without going back to college to prepare for another career.

Any suggestions or experience with online vet tech programs? So far I’ve only contacted and researched Penn Foster.
