Can you add the college credits you get in tech school to the ones you already have?

My husband wants to join the Air Force. In order to go in w/ advanced rank, you must have at least 20 college credits. He’s not sure how many he has, but he thinks he may only have 18. My question is, will they combine his credits he already has w/ the credits he will get in tech school and give him advanced rank??

    The transcripts also if he needs more credits fast many community colleges offer open exit credit courses with hard work he could knock coupe of those out within.
