Kara asked:

Well my husband is currently in the Air Force at technical training school and he’s been assigned to Misawa AB for his first duty station. I’m a big Japan enthusiast and eager to get away from family, but I’m a little nervous so I have questions (mostly directed to people who are currently there or have just recently been there since things change). For example, what’s housing like? Healthcare? We’re thinking of having our first baby sometime in the three years that we’re there so that’s a big thing…What are the people like on base? Is there anything fun to do nearby? I speak pretty good Japanese so language won’t be too much of a problem. Any info would be great. I can’t seem to find any specific info on the net and it’s pretty frustrating.

Also, if you have personal experiences, I’d love to hear them and if you liked it or hated it there. Thanks!
